I read better with my glasses on too. :)
But it's so true! I promise you I have perfect hearing, but if I'm not wearing glasses or my contacts, I can't hear half of what's going on. I've noticed this since I was little. Weird. We must lip read (or maybe face read) more than we think we do.
I don't remember things unless I have my glasses on for it.
Also, my brain is on when my glasses are on.
I can't actually say that my brain will work, but it is on at least.

I'll put on my glasses if I get up in the middle of the night, even on a moonless night and I'm not going to be turning on any lights.
Personally, I see better when I have my ears cleaned...
