Minus make-up. Yikes.
I also have what David thinks are allergies, but I feel is a nasty cold. Complete with raw throat. And if labor doesn't cause the bottom hatch to fly open, I am certain coughing will. Lovely feeling, really.
However, to keep it all in perspective, in the process of turning around yesterday, I whapped Calvin in the head with the belly and when I said, "Oops, sorry Cal," he shook his head slowly, rolled his eyes, and said, "That baby is just getting tooo big, Mom." Then Henry, bless his heart, chimed in with a clearly incredulous, "But his feet will only be this big!" (I had him recreate later for this picture. When he did it for real, his hands were cupped, but his pinkies were up like he was drinking from a tiny teacup.)
Oh, to have those tiny feet from beneath my sternum.
But there is only one way for that to happen. Yikes again.
To think that sometime between now and the 15th (dreaded day of the pit drip), um, I will be giving birth...
I mean, of course, but there's nothing like absolute imminence - and coughing incessantly - to make one feel a little like wetting her pants.

Raw throat? :( sorry to hear that. I hope it goes away soon.
This morning I thought it was time for that baby to come out, Nobody had hers, so that means yours in due like super soon.
:)
I'd say you appear to be ready. How about scrubbing the kitchen floor or taking a mile walk?? NO? Ok then, I guess I'll have to be patient.
Why does one always have to get sick with a cold when they are about to give birth? It makes breathing that much more difficult. I hope your raw throat just goes away.
I'm still laughing about Calvin getting wapped by his future brother before he is even born. I used to laugh at people for telling me to drink caster oil, but after 4 over due babies I finally tried it with number 4, 5 days after the due date. It was the loveliest natural labor in my history (I've always been induced). I'm just sayin'....
i hope you can avoid the drip. that stuff is horrible. but so are emergency c-sections. i send good thoughts to you, that there are few issues, and that things go smoothly.
It will happen soon, I feel it. Oh, wait a minute - maybe that's me...!!!
I really hope it is "just" allergies and you're feeling better soon. I'll be checking in frequently for updates - because surely you're planning to have "live blogging" of the delivery. Right? :)
Hope you have that baby soon (the 13th is a good day, but I'd hate to have you wait that long :) )
oh! sorry you are wetting your pants, but you made me wet my pants laughing with the sternum comment, so we are even.
no drip, no drip, no drip, no drip! I will chant this until that baby comes out and hopefully the good vibes from all of us will help with some movement :)
I had a cold and horrible cough at my last due date. Not fun. The coughing does move the baby down. I actually threw up from coughing just before my last contraction (you really wanted to know that, didn't you?).
Hang in there! How is your doctor behaving?
how much you gain during pregnanty and how long was labor/pushing stage of labor?
