Hello Sis, read your post about culture shock phases. tried to send u e-mail but the delivery failed ... I don't know what it is to move back to Ukraine. I can imagine it is hard. I remember how hard it was when I got there. And then I was young :) But I know how hard it is for me to be here in Hawaii at the moment. Hawaii!!! --- my dad said "you live in heaven!" ... so what do I have to complain about!? This is my 4th time to move to a different culture - third time in the last 3 years. So I should be used to it?! Shouldn't I? I really thought it would be easy ... cause as a contrast to Asia, this should be a piece of cake. But no ... I seem to have had a very short honeymoon as well :) if at all ... (probably cause I haven't made it to beach really more than twice :) ...) And I am definitely in the phase where I would stay in bed the whole time and don't want to talk to anyone or get to know anyone. So even though I do not know what you are going through, I think I can imagine a little bit. You are a hero to me - brave to move to Ukraine with your kids! Hang in there! I know you can do it, and there will come the days when you will enjoy that place. Lots of hugs, Helen
LOL! We love living close to NYC, although occasionally the smells get to us. We were in Boston over the summer, and I don't know if they had recently had some of street festival, but it put NYC to shame in the smells dept.
I haven't been here in a while, so I'm excited to catch up on your adventure!

I have to agree...I've never been a fan of the smells of New York City :)
