Me: Can I just go away for a little while?
David: Sure. What's going on?
Me: Nothing, really. It's just...They keep talking to me.

YES!! i know that feeling. and you should go if you need to.
I HEAR YOU LOUD AND CLEAR.
I feel this happens on a daily basis! Go take your time!
Are they real or imaginary? ;-)
(just teasing...'cause sadly, my voices aren't always right in front of me, but just in my head!!)
Two of my grandchildren are chatty cathys, so yes, sometimes I try hard to think of something to distract them. :)
ROFL. I usually say can THEY go away for a little while. And bless his heart, my husband tries his best to make that happen.
My youngest is ADHD and there are some days I wish I could just turn him off. I love him, but lord he makes me tired.
I don't have any children at home, and I still ask my husband this from time to time. Substitute the word "she" for "they" and think 86 year old mother, and you'll have the correct scenario.
Call your two best buddies, and tell them you need rescued. I'm sure between the three of you, you'll be able to run away long enough to restore sanity!
ROFL! I completely understand, last night I asked my husband if I could just change my name for a little while! My son is 11 and for some reason if I got out of his sight last night it was mom, mom where are you, I need you! MOM!! or mom, mom what are you doing. (We were all unpacking our house last night)
I hope you get away for a little while!
Lets go catch a movie, it's happenning here too.
Oh, yes, honey, I most certainly know what you mean. :-)
This makes me laugh because as we drove up to the house I informed my children, "When we get in the house, Mommy just really needs some quiet time. You can play, read, watch movies, eat snacks, just don't talk to me unless it is an emergency"
Now how do i get my Sweet Terror to stop asking me for e-i-e-i-o?
Oh, this made me LAUGH!
